Artist Statement
Painting and drawing become states of flow for me. In this state I lose connection with time in its past and future coordinates, as it appears to collapse into the present. The present becomes an embodied experience with the cartography shaped by my receptivity and immersion to the sounds, sensations, light, colour of the whole creative experience.

Hi Elena,
Thank you again for drawing my attention to the White-tailed Ptarmigan we saw while skiing at Cypress Mountain. I finally got around to painting that scene. You can see the result, as well as my other watercolours and sketches, by using the link below:

Hi Kris,
Thanks for your feedback. It was amazing to see the White-tailed Ptarmigan in the snow. Lovely that you painted it later. Your painting really shows how the ptarmigan was camouflaged white on white behind the brush. Thanks for sending the link.
